YZ450F, YZ250F and WR Race 2.0 Seat FAQ (2018 to 2024)
What is the Seat Concepts Race 2.0 Seat for the YZ450F, YZ250F and WR450F?
The Race 2.0 is made for fast laps and tough trails on a Yamaha YZ or WR. Extra grip lines keep you from sliding back during fast starts or hard braking, so you stay in total control when you twist the throttle. The foam is rated medium density, 5% softer than the factory foam. You can buy it as a Complete Seat or as a Cover Only.
Which YZ and WR models and years does it fit?
It fits the Yamaha YZ450F from 2018 to 2022, the YZ250F, YZ450FX and WR450F from 2019 to 2023, and the YZ250FX and WR250F from 2020 to 2024. For the 2023 and newer bikes, see the 2023 and newer Race 2.0 Seat.
What is the YZ 250F seat height, and what does the Race 2.0 change?
Yamaha gives the 2025 YZ250F as 38.2 inches, the 2025 YZ450F as 38.0 inches, the 2025 YZ250FX and YZ450FX as 37.6 inches and the 2025 WR250F as 37.6 inches. The 2020 YZ450F is also 38.0 inches. That is the YZ 250F seat height, the YZ450F seat height, the YZ250FX seat height, the WR250F seat height and the WR450F seat height before you change the seat. The Race 2.0 comes in Low, Standard and Tall. Low is 3/4 inch (19 mm) lower than the factory seat, Standard matches it, and Tall is 1 inch (25 mm) taller. The width and length stay the same as the factory seat.
Is there a YZ450F tall seat?
Yes. Tall is 1 inch (25 mm) taller than the factory seat, which makes it a YZ450F tall seat and a 2020 YZ450F tall seat for taller riders. Low is 3/4 inch (19 mm) lower for shorter riders.
Can I buy a YZ250F seat cover or a YZ450F seat cover on its own?
Yes. Choose Cover Only for a YZ250F seat cover, a YZ450F seat cover or a YZ450 seat cover for your own foam, from a 2018 YZ450F seat cover to a 2020 YZ450F seat cover, and a 2019 YZ250F seat cover or a 2020 YZ250F seat cover. It is the Race 2.0 wire gripper cover with the grip lines and has no foam in it.
Which colors can I choose?
The sides and top come in black or cobalt blue wire gripper, and the ribs come in black, cobalt blue or white. Wire gripper has a mechanical gripping texture that gives a high level of grip and limits movement on the seat in all conditions.
