YZ450F, YZ250F and WR Comfort Seat FAQ (2018 to 2024)
What is the Seat Concepts Comfort Seat for the YZ450F, YZ250F and WR450F?
The Comfort Seat is a complete seat that fixes the narrow, hard feel of the factory seat by leveling out the seating area, so you stop sliding forward into the tank on trails and fire roads. It is a seat for riders who want to stay in the saddle longer without the pain. The foam is rated medium density, 5% softer than the factory foam.
Which YZ and WR models and years does it fit?
It fits the Yamaha YZ450F from 2018 to 2022, the YZ250F, YZ450FX and WR450F from 2019 to 2023, and the YZ250FX and WR250F from 2020 to 2024, so it is a YZ450F seat and a YZ250F seat for those years, from a 2018 YZ450F seat and a 2019 YZ450F seat to a 2020 YZ450F seat, and a 2019 YZ250F seat and a 2020 YZ250F seat. For the 2023 and newer bikes, see the 2023 and newer Comfort Seat.
What is the YZ450F seat height, and what does this seat change?
Yamaha gives the 2025 YZ250F as 38.2 inches, the 2025 YZ450F as 38.0 inches, the 2025 YZ250FX and YZ450FX as 37.6 inches and the 2025 WR250F as 37.6 inches. The 2020 YZ450F is also 38.0 inches. That is the YZ450F seat height, the YZ 250F seat height, the YZ250FX seat height, the YZ450FX seat height, the WR250F seat height and the WR450F seat height before you change the seat. The Comfort Seat comes in Low, Standard and Tall. Low is 3/4 inch (19 mm) lower than the factory seat and 7.5 inches (191 mm) wide, Standard matches it at 7.5 inches (191 mm), and Tall is 9/16 inch (14 mm) taller and 6-7/8 inches (175 mm) wide.
Is there a low or tall option?
Yes. Low is 3/4 inch (19 mm) lower than the factory seat, so it works as a YZ250F low seat and a WR450F low seat. Tall is 9/16 inch (14 mm) taller, which makes it a YZ450F tall seat.
What is Comfort XL?
Comfort XL keeps the factory height and widens the seat to 9-5/8 inches (244 mm), compared with 7.5 inches (191 mm) for the regular Comfort width. Comfort XL is built in the Standard height only.
Which covers can I choose?
You can choose black carbon fiber sides with a black sandpaper top, or cobalt blue wire gripper. Black carbon fiber is a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with low grip. Black sandpaper is the high-grip top: its texture is like low-grit sandpaper, it holds you in position, and it works best with purpose-built riding gear. Wire gripper has a mechanical gripping texture that gives a high level of grip and limits movement on the seat in all conditions.
How long does a YZ450F Comfort Seat take to arrive?
Every Seat Concepts seat is made to order, so please allow 6 to 8 weeks for production and shipment. Because each seat is built to your options, returns and cancellations carry a 20% fee. We are an authorized Seat Concepts dealer, and every seat is built with Seat Concepts' proprietary foam formula and individually inspected before shipment.
What does the YZ450F and YZ250F Comfort Seat cost?
The Comfort Seat is $379.60 in every height, and the Comfort XL width is $409.60.
