Take your Yamaha YZ450F, YZ250F, or WR450F out in any weather without a second thought. The Element seat is built for riders who hit the trails even when it is raining or muddy. It has special traction ribs at the back to stop you from sliding around when you twist the throttle. This design keeps you planted and comfortable during long days in the dirt.
The inside is seam-sealed and wrapped in a water barrier to protect the foam from soaking up moisture. This complete seat comes in both Low and Standard heights to fit your size perfectly. You can also pick between the Comfort or Comfort XL widths for a wider, more supportive feel than the stock seat.

What is the Seat Concepts Element Seat for the YZ450F, YZ250F and WR450F?
The Element Seat is a complete seat for riders who hit the trails even when it is raining or muddy. Special traction ribs at the back stop you from sliding around when you twist the throttle, and the inside is seam-sealed and wrapped in a water barrier to protect the foam from soaking up moisture. The foam is rated medium density, 5% softer than the factory foam.
Which YZ and WR models and years does it fit?
It fits the Yamaha YZ450F from 2023, the YZ250F, YZ450FX and WR450F from 2024, and the WR250F and YZ250FX from 2025, so it is a YZ450F seat, a YZ250F seat and a WR450F seat for those years.
What is the YZ 250F seat height, and what does the Element change?
Yamaha gives the 2025 YZ250F as 38.2 inches, the 2025 YZ450F as 38.0 inches, the 2025 YZ250FX and YZ450FX as 37.6 inches, the 2025 WR250F as 37.6 inches and the 2027 WR450F as 37.6 inches. That is the YZ 250F seat height, the YZ450F seat height, the WR250F seat height and the WR450F seat height before you change the seat. The Element Seat comes in Low, Standard and Tall. Low is 9/16 inch (14 mm) lower than the factory seat and 7-1/2 inches (190 mm) wide, Standard matches it at 7-5/8 inches (194 mm), and Tall is 1/2 inch (12.5 mm) taller and 7 inches (178 mm) wide.
Is there a low or tall option?
Yes. Low is 9/16 inch (14 mm) lower than the factory seat, so it works as a YZ250F low seat and a WR450F low seat. Tall is 1/2 inch (12.5 mm) taller, which makes it a YZ450F tall seat.
Will the Element Seat hold up in mud and rain?
It is built for it. The seams are sealed and the foam is wrapped in a water barrier, so rain stays out of the foam.
Which colors and ribs can I choose?
The sides and top come in black, blood red or cobalt blue wire gripper, and the ribs come in black, cobalt blue or white, or you can choose no ribs. Wire gripper has a mechanical gripping texture that gives a high level of grip and limits movement on the seat in all conditions.
What is Comfort XL?
Comfort XL keeps the factory height and widens the seat to 9-5/8 inches (244 mm), compared with 7-5/8 inches (194 mm) for the regular Comfort width. Comfort XL is built in the Standard height only.
How long does a YZ450F Element Seat take to arrive?
Every Seat Concepts seat is made to order, so please allow 6 to 8 weeks for production and shipment. Because each seat is built to your options, returns and cancellations carry a 20% fee.
