What comes in a dirt bike kit

  • A stabilizer matched to your bike's mount
  • A handlebar bracket and a frame bracket
  • Mounting hardware
  • Instructions for your kit (check the listing for what it includes)
  • Check crossbar clearance before you order. Oversize bars, 7/8 inch bars and ProTaper style bars use different bar mounts.
  • Several models are sold with more than one mount style, such as top mount, sub mount or weld-on. The listing names which one each option is.

Questions

Which kit do I need for the E 440?

If you do not own a Scott's stabilizer yet, a complete kit has everything. If you already own one, a mount kit only moves it to your E 440. The kit guide has a chooser table.

Will it fit my E 440?

Fit depends on the model year. Choose your year in the bar and match the part number on the kit to your bike. Part numbers are explained in the kit guide.

Can I move it to another bike?

Scott's says yes, with a mount kit for the other bike.

How do I set the damping?

Scott's says its off-road units damp as the bars turn away from center and let them return freely. Scott's also says the damping is adjustable, including while riding. The install guide covers settings.

How do I service it?

Scott's says to treat it like suspension, with an occasional oil change depending on how hard you ride. See the service guide.
