It was designed with help from professional race teams to work perfectly with your IMS dry break fuel tank. This seat helps you stay locked in so you can focus on the finish line.
The seat features high-quality foam that is more comfortable than the factory version without feeling too soft. It is built to last and provides a firm base for long days of riding. You can get this as a ready-to-bolt-on complete seat or as a cover and foam kit.

What is the Seat Concepts Race 2.0 Seat for the 2014 to 2019 YZ and WR?
The Race 2.0 uses built-in traction ribs to hold you in place when you accelerate fast, and it was designed with help from professional race teams. It is a complete seat for aggressive riding. The foam is rated medium density, 5% softer than the factory foam. You can buy it as a Complete Seat or as a Cover Only.
Which YZ and WR models and years does it fit?
It fits the Yamaha YZ450F from 2014 to 2017, the YZ250F and YZ450FX from 2014 to 2018, the YZ250FX from 2014 to 2019, the WR250F from 2015 to 2019, and the WR450F from 2016 to 2018. For the 2018 and newer bikes, see the 2018 to 2024 Race 2.0 Seat.
Does it work with an IMS dry break fuel tank?
Yes. It was designed to work with an IMS dry break fuel tank.
What is the YZ 250F seat height, and what does the Race 2.0 change?
Yamaha gives the 2025 YZ250F as 38.2 inches, the 2025 YZ450F as 38.0 inches, the 2025 YZ250FX and YZ450FX as 37.6 inches and the 2025 WR250F as 37.6 inches. The 2016 WR250F and WR450F are 965 mm (38.0 inches). That is the YZ 250F seat height, the YZ450F seat height, the YZ250FX seat height and the WR250F seat height before you change the seat. The Race 2.0 comes in Standard height only, which matches the factory seat, and the width and length stay the same as the factory seat.
Can I buy a YZ250F seat cover or a YZ450F seat cover on its own?
Yes. Choose Cover Only for a YZ250F seat cover or a YZ450F seat cover for your own foam, from a 2015 YZ250F seat cover and a 2016 YZ250F seat cover to a 2018 YZ250F seat cover, and a 2015 YZ450F seat cover or a 2016 YZ450F seat cover. It is the Race 2.0 wire gripper cover with the ribs and has no foam in it.
Which colors can I choose?
The Complete Seat comes in black or cobalt blue wire gripper with black or cobalt blue ribs, and the Cover Only is black wire gripper with cobalt blue ribs. Wire gripper has a mechanical gripping texture that gives a high level of grip and limits movement on the seat in all conditions.
How long does a YZ450F Race 2.0 Seat take to arrive?
Every Seat Concepts seat is made to order, so please allow 6 to 8 weeks for production and shipment. Because each seat is built to your options, returns and cancellations carry a 20% fee. We are an authorized Seat Concepts dealer, and every seat is built with Seat Concepts' proprietary foam formula and individually inspected before shipment.
