What is the Seat Concepts YZ125 and YZ250 Comfort Seat?
The Comfort Seat is a complete seat that levels out the seating area, so you do not slide forward into the tank on a long day in the woods. It is a wider design for trail riders who want to stay in the saddle longer without getting sore, and the durable cover handles rough riding. The foam is rated medium density, 5% softer than the factory foam. It is a YZ125 complete seat and a YZ250 complete seat that bolts onto your bike.
Which YZ models and years does it fit?
It fits the Yamaha YZ125 and YZ250 two-stroke from 2002 to 2021, and the YZ125X and YZ250X two-stroke from 2016 to 2022, so it is a YZ125 seat and a YZ250 seat for those years. For the 2022 and newer bikes, see the 2022 and newer YZ125 and YZ250 Comfort Seat Cover.
What is the YZ 125 seat height, and what does this seat change?
Yamaha gives the 2025 YZ125 as 38.6 inches, the 2025 YZ250 as 38.4 inches, the 2025 YZ125X as 38.2 inches and the 2025 YZ250X as 38.4 inches. That is the YZ 125 seat height, the YZ 250 seat height, the YZ125X seat height and the YZ250X seat height before you change the seat. The Comfort Seat comes in Standard height only, which matches the factory seat, so it does not raise or lower your bike. It is 7-3/4 inches (197 mm) wide with the same length as the factory seat.
Is there a low or tall option?
No. This seat comes in Standard height only.
Which covers can I choose?
You can choose black carbon fiber sides with a black sandpaper top, or cobalt blue wire gripper. Black carbon fiber is a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with low grip. Black sandpaper is the high-grip top: its texture is like low-grit sandpaper, it holds you in position, and it works best with purpose-built riding gear. Wire gripper has a mechanical gripping texture that gives a high level of grip and limits movement on the seat in all conditions.
How long does a YZ125 Comfort Seat take to arrive?
Every Seat Concepts seat is made to order, so please allow 6 to 8 weeks for production and shipment. Because each seat is built to your options, returns and cancellations carry a 20% fee.
