BMW R 1300 GS Comfort Seat FAQ (2024 to 2026)
What is the Seat Concepts BMW R 1300 GS Comfort Seat?
The Comfort Seat widens the seating area and levels out the surface so you do not slide forward toward the tank, which makes long days in the saddle easier on your body. The foam stays supportive without going soft, and the cover handles sun, mud and daily wear. It is an R1300GS comfort seat, sold as a one-piece Complete Seat or as a Foam & Cover Kit.
Which years does it fit?
It fits the BMW R 1300 GS from 2024 to 2026, so it is an R1300GS seat for those years. For the older R1200GS and R1250GS, see the R1200GS and R1250GS Comfort Seat.
What is the BMW R1300GS seat height, and what does this seat change?
Whatever your R1300GS seat height is today, the Comfort Seat changes it by the height you choose, and the same goes for the BMW R1300GS seat height and the BMW R 1300 GS seat height. Low is 1 inch lower than the factory seat and 13.5 inches wide, which is 2.5 inches wider than the factory seat. Standard matches the factory height and is 13 inches (330 mm) wide. Tall is 2 inches taller and 13.5 inches wide.
Is there a BMW R 1300 GS low seat?
Yes. Low is 1 inch lower than the factory seat, so it works as a BMW R 1300 GS low seat and an R1300GS low seat for shorter riders.
Can I buy just the foam and cover?
Yes. The Front Foam & Cover Kit is a R1300GS seat cover kit with new foam and a new cover together for your existing seat base, and the Front Foam & Cover Kit with Rear Cover adds a rear cover. They come in Standard height. The one-piece Complete Seat is the full seat.
Which covers can I choose?
The sides are black carbon fiber, and the top comes in black sandpaper or black semi-grip, plus black diamante on the Complete Seat. Black carbon fiber is a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with low grip. Black sandpaper is the high-grip top: its texture is like low-grit sandpaper, it holds you in position, and it works best with purpose-built riding gear. Black semi-grip is the low-slip top: its beaded cross weave keeps you in position but lets you move around the seat, and it works with casual clothing such as jeans as well as riding gear. Black diamante is a suede-like synthetic made to match the factory synthetic suede on production street and adventure bikes, and it is flexible with moderate grip.
How long does an R1300GS Comfort Seat take to arrive?

We are an authorized Seat Concepts dealer, and every seat is built with Seat Concepts' proprietary foam formula and individually inspected before shipment.
