What is the Seat Concepts Yamaha FJR1300 Comfort Seat Cover?
It is a Foam & Cover Kit for the seat you already have, not a complete seat. It levels out the seating area and keeps you from sliding forward on long rides. The foam is rated medium density, 5% softer than the factory foam. It is a Yamaha FJR 1300 seat kit and an FJR1300 comfort seat kit, the Yamaha comfort seat FJR1300 owners can fit.
Which years does it fit?
It fits the Yamaha FJR 1300 Gen 2 and Gen 3 from 2006 to 2024, so it rebuilds an FJR 1300 seat and a Yamaha FJR 1300 seat for those years.
Does the kit change the FJR1300 seat height?
No. It comes in Standard height only, with the width and length of the factory seat. Yamaha gives the FJR1300ES seat height as 31.7 or 32.5 inches.
What are the rear cover and rear kit options?
The Foam & Cover Kit is $329.60 in carbon fiber and $349.60 in vinyl with a diamante top. With a rear cover it is $379.60, and the Front & Rear Foam & Cover Kit is $469.60. It is a Foam & Cover Kit, so you get new foam and a new cover together for your existing seat base. There is no cover-only option.
Which covers can I choose?
The sides come in black carbon fiber or black vinyl, and the top in black sandpaper or black diamante. Black carbon fiber is a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with low grip. Black sandpaper is the high-grip top: its texture is like low-grit sandpaper, it holds you in position, and it works best with purpose-built riding gear. Black diamante is a suede-like synthetic made to match the factory synthetic suede on production street and adventure bikes, and it is flexible with moderate grip. Black vinyl is a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with the classic Seat Concepts look and low grip, so you can move freely on the seat.
How long does an FJR1300 seat kit take to arrive?
Every Seat Concepts seat is made to order, so please allow 6 to 8 weeks for production and shipment. Because each seat is built to your options, returns and cancellations carry a 20% fee. We are an authorized Seat Concepts dealer, and every seat is built with Seat Concepts' proprietary foam formula and individually inspected before shipment.
