What is the Seat Concepts Yamaha FZ1 Comfort Seat Cover?
It is a Foam & Cover Kit for the seat you already have, not a complete seat. It levels the seating area and keeps you from sliding forward. The foam is rated medium density, 5% softer than the factory foam. It is a Yamaha FZ1 comfort seat kit and an FZ1 comfort seat kit, an FZ1 seat upgrade and an FZ1 aftermarket seat kit.
Which years does it fit?
It fits the Yamaha FZ1 and FZS1 from 2006 to 2015, so it rebuilds an FZ1 seat and a Yamaha FZ1 seat for those years.
What is the Yamaha FZ1 seat height, and what does the kit change?
The kit does not change the Yamaha FZ1 seat height or the FZ1 seat height: it comes in Standard height only, the same as the factory seat.
Can I buy an FZ1 seat cover on its own?
No. The FZ1 seat cover comes as a Foam & Cover Kit, so you get new foam and a new cover together. There is no cover-only option.
Which covers can I choose?
The sides are black carbon fiber, and the top is black sandpaper. Black carbon fiber is a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with low grip. Black sandpaper is the high-grip top: its texture is like low-grit sandpaper, it holds you in position, and it works best with purpose-built riding gear.
How long does an FZ1 seat kit take to arrive?
Every Seat Concepts seat is made to order, so please allow 6 to 8 weeks for production and shipment. Because each seat is built to your options, returns and cancellations carry a 20% fee. We are an authorized Seat Concepts dealer, and every seat is built with Seat Concepts' proprietary foam formula and individually inspected before shipment.
