What is the Seat Concepts Honda CRF230L and CRF230M Comfort Seat Cover?
It is a Foam & Cover Kit for the seat you already have, not a complete seat. It widens the seating area and levels the slope, so you stop sliding forward on long weekend rides and trips to work. The foam is rated medium density, 5% softer than the factory foam.
Which years does it fit?
It fits the Honda CRF230L from 2008 to 2009 in the US and from 2008 to 2013 outside the US, and the CRF230M from 2008 to 2013, so it rebuilds a CRF230L seat and a Honda CRF230L seat for those years.
What is the CRF230L seat height, and what does the kit change?
Honda gives the 2008 CRF230L seat height as 31.9 inches (810 mm) and the 2009 CRF230M as 31.7 inches (805 mm). That is the CRF230L seat height and the Honda CRF230L seat height before you change the seat. The kit comes in Standard height only, the same as the factory seat, and it is 10 inches (254 mm) wide with the same length as the factory seat.
Which covers can I choose?
The sides come in black carbon fiber or red carbon fiber, and the top is black sandpaper. Black carbon fiber is a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with low grip. Black sandpaper is the high-grip top: its texture is like low-grit sandpaper, it holds you in position, and it works best with purpose-built riding gear.
Is this a complete seat?
It is a Foam & Cover Kit, so you get new foam and a new cover together for your existing seat base. There is no cover-only option.
How long does a CRF230L seat kit take to arrive?
Every Seat Concepts seat is made to order, so please allow 6 to 8 weeks for production and shipment. Because each seat is built to your options, returns and cancellations carry a 20% fee. We are an authorized Seat Concepts dealer, and every seat is built with Seat Concepts' proprietary foam formula and individually inspected before shipment.
