What is the Seat Concepts BMW R1200RT Comfort Seat Cover?
It is a Foam & Cover Kit for the seat you already have, not a complete seat. It levels out the seating area and smooths the edges, and the seat is 14-3/4 inches (375 mm) wide. The foam is rated medium density, 5% softer than the factory foam. It is a BMW R1200RT comfort seat kit and an R1200RT comfort seat kit.
Which years does it fit?
It fits the BMW R1200RT from 2005 to 2013, so it rebuilds a BMW R1200RT seat and an R1200RT seat for those years.
What is the BMW R1200RT seat height, and what does the kit change?
The kit does not change the BMW R1200RT seat height or the R1200RT seat height: it comes in Standard height only, the same as the factory seat, and it is 14-3/4 inches (375 mm) wide with the same length as the factory seat.
Is there an R1200RT low seat?
Not in this kit. It comes in Standard height only, so we do not offer a BMW R1200RT low seat or an R1200RT low seat.
What are the rear cover and rear kit options?
The Foam & Cover Kit is $329.60, with a rear cover it is $379.60, and the Front & Rear Foam & Cover Kit is $449.60. It is a Foam & Cover Kit, so you get new foam and a new cover together for your existing seat base. There is no cover-only option.
Which covers can I choose?
The sides are black vinyl, and the top is black semi-grip. Black semi-grip is the low-slip top: its beaded cross weave keeps you in position but lets you move around the seat, and it works with casual clothing such as jeans as well as riding gear. Black vinyl is a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with the classic Seat Concepts look and low grip, so you can move freely on the seat.
How long does an R1200RT seat kit take to arrive?
Every Seat Concepts seat is made to order, so please allow 6 to 8 weeks for production and shipment. Because each seat is built to your options, returns and cancellations carry a 20% fee. We are an authorized Seat Concepts dealer, and every seat is built with Seat Concepts' proprietary foam formula and individually inspected before shipment.
