What is the Seat Concepts BMW R1100RT and R1150RT Comfort Seat Cover?
It is a Foam & Cover Kit for the seat you already have, not a complete seat. It levels out the seating area, and the seat is 14-1/4 inches (362 mm) wide. The foam is rated medium density, 5% softer than the factory foam. It rebuilds a BMW R1100RT seat and an R1100RT seat.
Which years does it fit?
It fits the BMW R1100RT from 1996 to 2001 and the R1150RT from 2001 to 2005, so it rebuilds an R1150RT seat and a BMW R1150RT seat for those years.
What is the R1150RT seat height, and what does the kit change?
The kit does not change the R1150RT seat height or the BMW R1150RT seat height: it comes in Standard height only, the same as the factory seat, and it is 14-1/4 inches (362 mm) wide with the same length as the factory seat.
What is the Front & Rear kit?
The Front & Rear Foam & Cover Kit is $449.60 and includes both the front and rear sections. The front kit alone is $329.60. It is a Foam & Cover Kit, so you get new foam and a new cover together for your existing seat base. There is no cover-only option.
Which covers can I choose?
The sides come in black carbon fiber or black vinyl, and the top in black sandpaper or black semi-grip. Black carbon fiber is a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with low grip. Black sandpaper is the high-grip top: its texture is like low-grit sandpaper, it holds you in position, and it works best with purpose-built riding gear. Black semi-grip is the low-slip top: its beaded cross weave keeps you in position but lets you move around the seat, and it works with casual clothing such as jeans as well as riding gear. Black vinyl is a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with the classic Seat Concepts look and low grip, so you can move freely on the seat.
How long does an R1100RT seat kit take to arrive?
Every Seat Concepts seat is made to order, so please allow 6 to 8 weeks for production and shipment. Because each seat is built to your options, returns and cancellations carry a 20% fee. We are an authorized Seat Concepts dealer, and every seat is built with Seat Concepts' proprietary foam formula and individually inspected before shipment.
