What is the Seat Concepts CRF450R and CRF250R Element Seat?
The Element Seat is a complete seat for the 2021 to 2027 Honda CRF450R and the 2022 to 2027 CRF250R, made for riders who head out in wet and muddy weather. The foam is wrapped in a water barrier and the seams are sealed to keep the rain out, and traction ribs at the back help you stay in control when you accelerate hard. The foam is rated medium density, 5% softer than the factory foam.
Which CRF models and years does it fit?
It fits the Honda CRF450R and CRF450RWE from 2021 to 2027, the CRF450RX from 2021 to 2027, the CRF450R 50th Anniversary in 2023, the CRF450R-S from 2023 to 2025, and the CRF250R and CRF250RX from 2022 to 2027, so it is a CRF450R seat and a CRF250R seat for those years. For the 2017 to 2021 bikes, see the 2017 to 2021 CRF Element Seat.
What is the CRF 450R seat height, and what does this seat change?
Honda gives the 2026 CRF450R seat height as 37.8 inches, and that is the CRF 450R seat height and the Honda CRF450R seat height before you change the seat. The CRF 250R seat height and the Honda CRF 250R seat height are 37.6 inches for the 2026 CRF250R. The Element Seat comes in Low, Standard and Tall. Low is 1 inch (25 mm) lower than the factory seat, Standard matches it, and Tall is 3/4 inch (19 mm) taller.
Is there a CRF450R lower seat or a CRF250R low seat?
Yes. Low is 1 inch (25 mm) lower than the factory seat and 8.75 inches (222 mm) wide, which makes it a CRF450R lower seat and a CRF250R lower seat. Standard is 7.5 inches (190 mm) wide at the factory height, and Tall is 3/4 inch (19 mm) taller and 7.5 inches wide.
Will the Element Seat hold up in mud and rain?
It is built for it. The interior foam is wrapped in a water barrier and the seams are sealed, which keeps the rain out of the foam so the seat stays lighter on a wet day.
Which colors and ribs can I choose?
The sides and top come in black, red, blue or cobalt blue wire gripper, and the ribs come in black, red, white, blue or cobalt blue, or you can choose no ribs. Wire gripper has a mechanical gripping texture that gives a high level of grip and limits movement on the seat in all conditions.
What are Comfort and Comfort XL?
They are the two widths. Comfort XL keeps the factory height and is 8.75 inches (222 mm) wide, and the regular Comfort width is 7.5 inches (190 mm) at Standard height. Comfort XL is built in the Standard height only.
