This Seat Concepts Comfort seat changes that by leveling out the rider area so you do not slide forward into the tank. It features a wider Commuter shape that gives you better support during your daily ride or weekend trips. You get a much smoother ride without losing that classic BMW look.
The seat uses a special foam that stays firm and supportive even after hours in the saddle. This is a Complete Seat, so it comes ready to bolt right onto your bike with a high-quality cover already installed. It is built at a Standard height that works great for most riders.

What is the Seat Concepts BMW F800GS Commuter Seat?
The Commuter Seat is a complete seat that levels out the rider area so you do not slide forward into the tank. Its wider Commuter shape gives you better support on a daily ride or a weekend trip, you get a smoother ride without losing the classic BMW look, and the foam stays supportive. The foam is rated medium density, 5% softer than the factory foam.
Which BMW GS models and years does it fit?
It fits the BMW F650GS from 2008 to 2012, the F700GS from 2012 to 2018 and the F800GS from 2008 to 2018, so it is an F800GS seat, an F700GS seat and an F650GS seat for those years, and the Seat Concepts F800GS in its widest shape. For a narrower seat, see the Comfort Seat.
What is the BMW F800GS seat height, and what does the Commuter change?
The Commuter Seat comes in one height, Commuter Standard, which is 1/2 inch (13 mm) taller than the factory seat. That is the change to your BMW F800GS seat height, the F800GS seat height, the F700GS seat height and the F650GS seat height. It is 13-3/8 inches (340 mm) wide with the same length as the factory seat.
Is there a low or tall option?
No. The Commuter Seat comes in one height only. For a lower or taller choice, see the Comfort Seat.
Which covers can I choose?
The sides are black carbon fiber, and the top comes in black sandpaper or black semi-grip. Black carbon fiber is a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with low grip. Black sandpaper is the high-grip top: its texture is like low-grit sandpaper, it holds you in position, and it works best with purpose-built riding gear. Black semi-grip is the low-slip top: its beaded cross weave keeps you in position but lets you move around the seat, and it works with casual clothing such as jeans as well as riding gear.
How long does an F800GS Commuter Seat take to arrive?
Every Seat Concepts seat is made to order, so please allow 6 to 8 weeks for production and shipment. Because each seat is built to your options, returns and cancellations carry a 20% fee. We are an authorized Seat Concepts dealer, and every seat is built with Seat Concepts' proprietary foam formula and individually inspected before shipment.
