The Seat Concepts Commuter DR650 seat is a complete seat with a wide, level shape for riders who use their DR650 for daily commutes or long weekend trips. It fixes the narrow, sloping feel of the factory foam and keeps you from sliding into the fuel tank. It is 13 inches (330 mm) wide, and the foam is rated medium density, 5% softer than the factory foam.
Which years does the Commuter Seat fit?
This DR650 seat fits the Suzuki DR650 from 1996 to 2026, the same bikes as the Comfort Seat.
Is this a more comfortable DR650 touring seat?
If you want a more comfortable DR650 seat for long days, the Commuter shape gives the most surface area to support your weight: 13 inches (330 mm), against 10 inches (254 mm) on the Comfort Seat at Standard height. As a DR650 touring seat it suits road miles and commuting best.
Does the Commuter Seat change the DR650 seat height?
It comes in Standard height only, which matches the factory seat. If you want to go lower or taller, the Comfort Seat has Low and Tall heights.
Does this DR650 seat replacement come with a cover?
Yes. It is a complete seat, so as a DR650 seat replacement it swaps in for your factory seat with the foam and cover already built together.
Which cover can I choose?
There are three buyable covers. You can choose black carbon fiber sides with a black carbon fiber top, black vinyl sides with a black vinyl top, or black vinyl sides with a black semi-grip top. Black semi-grip is the low-slip top: its beaded cross weave keeps you in position but lets you move around the seat, and it works with casual clothing such as jeans as well as riding gear. Black vinyl is a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with the classic Seat Concepts look and low grip, so you can move freely on the seat.
How long does a DR650 Commuter Seat take to arrive?
Every Seat Concepts seat is made to order, so please allow 6 to 8 weeks for production and shipment. Because each seat is built to your options, returns and cancellations carry a 20% fee. We are an authorized Seat Concepts dealer, and every seat is built with Seat Concepts' proprietary foam formula and individually inspected before shipment.
