Product Description
Side/midship diesel-only tank for early Super Duty trucks with the 6.0L or 7.3L engine, built around the 6-bolt sending unit style. The kit includes the sending unit gasket, a 6-bolt hold-down ring, two vent emission valve hold-down rings with 12 screws, and thread sealant — but the sending unit and emission valves themselves carry over from your original tank. Does not replace the OEM plastic tank.
Ethanol-blended modern fuel is harder on decades-old steel tanks than the gasoline they were designed around, accelerating the corrosion that eventually perforates the metal. Molded in cross-linked polyethylene, this replacement doesn't have that failure mode at all — it just needs to be the correct fitment, which is where the details below matter.
