What is the Seat Concepts BMW R1200GS and R1250GS Intermediate Seat?
The Intermediate Seat splits the difference between the factory BMW GS seat heights, offering a height and comfort solution that works across the GS and the GSA on both the R1200 and R1250 platforms. The foam keeps its supportive profile through years of hard use without flattening out like factory foam does. It is a BMW R1200GS seat and a BMW R1200GS Adventure seat in one.
Which BMW GS models and years does it fit?
It fits the BMW R1200GS from 2013 to 2019 and the R1250GS from 2019 to 2024, including the Adventure models, so it is an R1200GS seat, an R1250GS seat and a BMW R1200GSA seat for those years.
What is the BMW R1200GS seat height, and what does this seat change?
The BMW R 1250 GS standard seat is 850 mm (33.5 inches). That is the BMW R1200GS seat height and the R1250GS seat height before you change the seat. The Intermediate Seat comes in Low, Standard, Intermediate and Tall, so you choose how far to move it from the factory seat.
What comes with the rear cover and the rear kit?
The Front Complete with Rear Cover option is $499.60 and gives you the complete front seat with a rear cover. The Front Complete with Rear Foam & Cover Kit option is $549.60 and adds new rear foam and a rear cover together.
Which covers can I choose?
The sides are black carbon fiber, and the top comes in black sandpaper or black semi-grip. Black carbon fiber is a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with low grip. Black sandpaper is the high-grip top: its texture is like low-grit sandpaper, it holds you in position, and it works best with purpose-built riding gear. Black semi-grip is the low-slip top: its beaded cross weave keeps you in position but lets you move around the seat, and it works with casual clothing such as jeans as well as riding gear.
How long does an Intermediate Seat take to arrive?
Every Seat Concepts seat is made to order, so please allow 6 to 8 weeks for production and shipment. Because each seat is built to your options, returns and cancellations carry a 20% fee. We are an authorized Seat Concepts dealer, and every seat is built with Seat Concepts' proprietary foam formula and individually inspected before shipment.
