The Suzuki DL1000 V-STROM is a great bike for long trips, but the factory seat often pushes you forward. This Comfort seat changes the shape to give you a flatter, wider platform that feels natural. We radiused the edges to keep your legs comfortable during long hours on the highway or dirt. It makes your adventure riding much more relaxing.
Seat Concepts uses a special foam that is more plush than stock but still provides firm support. You can pick between Standard or Tall heights to find the best fit for your legs. These foam and cover kits are built to last and look like they came straight from the factory.

What is the Seat Concepts Suzuki V-Strom 1000 Comfort Seat Cover?
It is a Foam & Cover Kit for the seat you already have, not a complete seat. It changes the shape to a flatter, wider platform, and the radiused edges keep your legs comfortable on long days. The foam is rated medium density, 5% softer than the factory foam. It is a V-Strom 1000 comfortable seat for the Gen 2 bike.
Which years does it fit?
It fits the Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom Gen 2 from 2014 to 2019, so it rebuilds a Suzuki V-Strom 1000 seat, a V-Strom 1000 seat and a DL1000 seat.
What is the V-Strom 1000 seat height, and what does the kit change?
The 2014 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 seat height is 850 mm (33.5 inches). That is the 2014 V-Strom 1000 seat height, the V-Strom 1000 seat height and the DL1000 seat height before you change the seat. Standard keeps the factory seat height. Tall is 1-3/4 inches (44 mm) taller and 13 inches (330 mm) wide. The length stays the same as the factory seat.
Is there a lower seat?
Not in this kit. The heights are Standard, which keeps the factory height, and Tall, which is 1-3/4 inches (44 mm) taller, so there is no Suzuki V-Strom 1000 low seat height option.
Which covers can I choose?
The sides are black carbon fiber. The top is black carbon fiber or black sandpaper, and Tall also comes with a black semi-grip top. Black carbon fiber is a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with low grip. Black sandpaper is the high-grip top: its texture is like low-grit sandpaper, it holds you in position, and it works best with purpose-built riding gear. Black semi-grip is the low-slip top: its beaded cross weave keeps you in position but lets you move around the seat, and it works with casual clothing such as jeans as well as riding gear.
Is this a complete seat?
It is a Foam & Cover Kit, so you get new foam and a new cover together for your existing seat base. There is no cover-only option.
How long does a V-Strom 1000 seat kit take to arrive?
Every Seat Concepts seat is made to order, so please allow 6 to 8 weeks for production and shipment. Because each seat is built to your options, returns and cancellations carry a 20% fee. We are an authorized Seat Concepts dealer, and every seat is built with Seat Concepts' proprietary foam formula and individually inspected before shipment.
