What is the Seat Concepts DL650 and DL1000 Comfort Seat Cover?
The Comfort Seat Cover is a Foam & Cover Kit for the Suzuki DL650 and DL1000 V-Strom of the early years. It is not a complete seat. It rebuilds a DL1000 seat and a DL 650 seat to level out the platform, and it works as a DL 650 replacement seat kit because it replaces the factory foam and cover.
Which years does it fit?
It fits the Suzuki DL650 from 2002 to 2011 and the DL1000 from 2002 to 2013.
What is the DL1000 seat height with this kit?
The kit comes in Standard height only. It is 1/8 inch (3 mm) lower than the factory DL1000 seat and 9/16 inch (14 mm) higher than the factory DL650 seat, so the DL1000 seat height and the V-Strom 1000 seat height change very little, and it is 14-7/8 inches (378 mm) wide.
Is this a DL650 gel seat or a DL1000 gel seat?
No. It is not a DL650 gel seat or a DL1000 gel seat. Seat Concepts uses its own foam, rated medium density and 5% softer than the factory foam.
Which covers can I choose?
You can choose black carbon fiber sides with a black carbon fiber top, or black vinyl sides with a black embossed top. Black vinyl is a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with the classic Seat Concepts look and low grip, so you can move freely on the seat.
How long does a DL650 or DL1000 seat take to arrive?
Every Seat Concepts kit is made to order, so please allow 6 to 8 weeks for production and shipment. Because each kit is built to your options, returns and cancellations carry a 20% fee. We are an authorized Seat Concepts dealer, and every kit is built with Seat Concepts' proprietary foam formula and individually inspected before shipment.
