What is the Seat Concepts KTM SX and EXC Comfort Seat for 2003 to 2007?
Your KTM SX, SXF, EXC or XCW is built for tough trails, but the factory seat often feels too narrow and stiff. The Comfort Seat widens the riding area and levels the surface so you do not slide forward, and the rounded edges and ergonomic shape make long days in the saddle more enjoyable for enduro and trail riders. The foam is rated medium density, 5% softer than the factory foam. You can buy it as a Complete Seat or as a Foam & Cover Kit.
Which KTM models and years does it fit?
It fits the KTM EXC 125 and 200, MXC 200 and SX 250 in 2003; the EXC 125, 200, 250, 300, 400, 450 and 525, MXC 300 and SMR 450 and 525 from 2004 to 2005; the SX 125, 200, 250, 450 and 525 in 2004; the SX 125, 250, 450 and 525 and the SX-F 250 in 2005; the EXC 400, 450 and 525, SX 125 and 250, SX-F 250, 450 and 525 and SMR 450 and 560 in 2006; and the EXC 450 and 525, XC-W 400, 450 and 525 and XC-F 250 in 2007. The MXC 450 and 525 (2004 to 2005) and XC 450 and 525 (2007) fit when they have the OEM EXC or SX seat and tank combo, so it is a KTM 525 EXC seat for those years.
What is the KTM SX 125 seat height, and what does this seat change?
KTM gives the 2025 125 SX seat height as 958 mm (37.7 inches). That is the KTM SX 125 seat height and the KTM 125 SX seat height before you change the seat, and the KTM 250 SX seat height starts from the factory seat too. The Comfort Seat comes in Low, Standard and Tall. Low is 1 inch (25 mm) lower than the factory seat and 8.5 inches (216 mm) wide, Standard matches it at 8 inches (203 mm), and Tall is 1 inch (25 mm) taller and 7.5 inches (190 mm) wide.
Which covers can I choose?
The sides are black carbon fiber, and the top comes in black sandpaper, with black semi-grip on the Low and Standard heights. Black carbon fiber is a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with low grip. Black sandpaper is the high-grip top: its texture is like low-grit sandpaper, it holds you in position, and it works best with purpose-built riding gear. Black semi-grip is the low-slip top: its beaded cross weave keeps you in position but lets you move around the seat, and it works with casual clothing such as jeans as well as riding gear.
How long does a KTM Comfort Seat take to arrive?
Every Seat Concepts seat is made to order, so please allow 6 to 8 weeks for production and shipment. Because each seat is built to your options, returns and cancellations carry a 20% fee. We are an authorized Seat Concepts dealer, and every seat is built with Seat Concepts' proprietary foam formula and individually inspected before shipment.
