What is the Seat Concepts KTM SX and EXC Comfort Seat Cover for 2001 to 2003?
It is a Foam & Cover Kit for the seat you already have, not a complete seat. The factory seat on an early 2000s KTM SX or EXC can feel like a wooden plank, and the kit levels out the rider platform and removes the forward slope. The foam is rated medium density, 5% softer than the factory foam.
Which KTM models and years does it fit?
It fits the KTM SX 125, 200, 250, 450, 525 and 540 from 2001 to 2003, the EXC 200, 250, 300, 400, 450 and 525 in 2003, and the MXC 125 and 200 in 2003.
What is the KTM SX 125 seat height, and what does the kit change?
KTM gives the 2025 125 SX seat height as 958 mm (37.7 inches). That is the KTM SX 125 seat height and the KTM 125 SX seat height before you change anything, and the KTM 250 SX seat height starts from the factory seat too. The kit comes in Standard height only, the same as the factory seat, and it is 8-1/4 inches (210 mm) wide with the same length as the factory seat.
Which covers and thread colors can I choose?
The sides are black carbon fiber, the top is black sandpaper, and the thread is black or orange. Black carbon fiber is a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with low grip. Black sandpaper is the high-grip top: its texture is like low-grit sandpaper, it holds you in position, and it works best with purpose-built riding gear.
Is this a complete seat?
No. It is a Foam & Cover Kit, so you get new foam and a new cover together for your existing seat base. There is no cover-only option.
How long does a KTM seat kit take to arrive?
