What is the Seat Concepts KTM 950 and 990 Adventure Comfort Seat Cover?
It is a Foam & Cover Kit for the seat you already have, not a complete seat. It levels the seating area and removes the slope toward the tank. The foam is rated medium density, 5% softer than the factory foam. It is a KTM 990 Adventure comfort seat kit and the Seat Concepts KTM 990 Adventure option.
Which KTM Adventure models and years does it fit?
It fits the KTM 950 Adventure from 2004 to 2007, the 990 Adventure from 2008 to 2013, the 990 Adventure R from 2009 to 2011 and the 990 Adventure Baja in 2013, so it rebuilds a KTM 990 Adventure seat and a KTM 950 Adventure seat.
What is the KTM 990 Adventure seat height, and what does the kit change?
The kit changes your KTM 990 Adventure seat height, KTM 990 Adventure R seat height and KTM 950 Adventure seat height by the height you choose. Low is 3/8 inch (10 mm) lower than the factory seat and 13 inches (330 mm) wide, and Tall is 1.5 inches (38 mm) taller and 11.5 inches (292 mm) wide. There is no Standard option.
Is there a KTM 990 Adventure low seat?
Yes. Low is 3/8 inch (10 mm) lower than the factory seat, so it works as a KTM 990 Adventure low seat and a KTM 990 low seat.
Can I buy a KTM 990 Adventure seat cover on its own?
No. The KTM 990 Adventure seat cover comes as a Foam & Cover Kit, so you get new foam and a new cover together. There is no cover-only option.
Which covers can I choose?
The sides are black carbon fiber, and the top is black sandpaper. Black carbon fiber is a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with low grip. Black sandpaper is the high-grip top: its texture is like low-grit sandpaper, it holds you in position, and it works best with purpose-built riding gear.
How long does a KTM 990 Adventure seat kit take to arrive?
Every Seat Concepts seat is made to order, so please allow 6 to 8 weeks for production and shipment. Because each seat is built to your options, returns and cancellations carry a 20% fee. We are an authorized Seat Concepts dealer, and every seat is built with Seat Concepts' proprietary foam formula and individually inspected before shipment.
