What is the Seat Concepts KTM 690 SMC and Enduro R Comfort Seat?
The Comfort Seat is a complete seat that fixes the steep slope of the factory seat to keep you in the right spot. Its wider shape and smooth edges give you support for both street riding and dirt trails, and the foam holds its shape even after hours in the saddle. The foam is rated medium density, 5% softer than the factory foam. It is a KTM 690 SMC R comfort seat, a KTM 690 SMC comfort seat and a KTM 690 Enduro R comfort seat.
Which KTM 690 models and years does it fit?
It fits the KTM 690 SMC, SMC-R and Enduro R sold in North America from 2019 to 2025, and the same bikes sold worldwide from 2019 to 2020, so it is a KTM 690 SMC R seat, a KTM 690 SMC seat and a KTM 690 Enduro R seat for those years. What is the KTM 690 SMC R seat height, and what does this seat change?
That is the KTM 690 SMC R seat height, the KTM 690 SMC seat height, the 690 SMC R seat height and the KTM 690 R seat height before you change the seat. KTM gives the 2023 and 2024 690 Enduro R seat height as 929 mm (36.6 inches) and the 2026 690 Enduro R as 935 mm (36.8 inches). The Comfort Seat comes in Low, Standard and Tall. Low is 9/16 inch (15 mm) lower than the factory seat and 10-5/8 inches (270 mm) wide, Standard matches it at 10-1/8 inches (257 mm), and Tall is 1 inch (25 mm) taller and 9-7/8 inches (251 mm) wide. The KTM 690 Enduro R seat height and the 2020 KTM 690 Enduro R seat height move by the same amounts.
Is there a low or tall option?
Yes. Low is 9/16 inch (15 mm) lower than the factory seat for shorter riders, and Tall is 1 inch (25 mm) taller for taller riders.
What is Comfort XL?
Comfort XL keeps the factory height and widens the seat to 12.5 inches (318 mm), compared with 10-1/8 inches (257 mm) for the regular Comfort width. Comfort XL is built in the Standard height only.
Is this a seat for the KTM 690 SMC R as well as the Enduro R?
Yes. It is the Seat Concepts KTM 690 SMC R seat and the Enduro R seat in one, with a wider, level platform on the factory shape.
Which covers can I choose?
You can choose black carbon fiber or orange semi-grip sides with a black sandpaper, black semi-grip, black diamante or orange semi-grip top. Black carbon fiber is a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with low grip. Black sandpaper is the high-grip top: its texture is like low-grit sandpaper, it holds you in position, and it works best with purpose-built riding gear. Black semi-grip is the low-slip top: its beaded cross weave keeps you in position but lets you move around the seat, and it works with casual clothing such as jeans as well as riding gear. Black diamante is a suede-like synthetic made to match the factory synthetic suede on production street and adventure bikes, and it is flexible with moderate grip.
