What is the Seat Concepts Kawasaki Versys 1000 Comfort Seat Cover?
It is a Foam & Cover Kit for the seat you already have, not a complete seat. It levels out the sitting area so you stop sliding forward into the tank on long days. The foam is rated medium density, 5% softer than the factory foam. It is a Kawasaki Versys 1000 comfort seat kit.
Which years does it fit?
It fits the Kawasaki Versys 1000, the Versys 1000 SE and the Versys 1000 LT from 2012 to 2018, so it rebuilds a Kawasaki Versys 1000 seat and a Versys 1000 seat.
What is the Versys 1000 seat height, and what does the kit change?
The 2012 Kawasaki Versys 1000 seat height is 845 mm (33.3 inches). That is the Versys 1000 seat height and the seat height of Kawasaki Versys 1000 before you change the seat. The kit comes in Standard height only, the same as the factory seat, and it is 14.5 inches (368 mm) wide with the same length as the factory seat.
Is there a Versys 1000 low seat?
Not in this kit. It comes in Standard height only, the same as the factory seat, so we do not offer a Versys 1000 low seat or a Kawasaki Versys 1000 low seat.
Which covers can I choose?
The sides are black carbon fiber, and the top is black carbon fiber or black sandpaper. Black carbon fiber is a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with low grip. Black sandpaper is the high-grip top: its texture is like low-grit sandpaper, it holds you in position, and it works best with purpose-built riding gear.
Is this a complete seat?
It is a Foam & Cover Kit, so you get new foam and a new cover together for your existing seat base. There is no cover-only option.
How long does a Versys 1000 seat kit take to arrive?
Every Seat Concepts seat is made to order, so please allow 6 to 8 weeks for production and shipment. Because each seat is built to your options, returns and cancellations carry a 20% fee. We are an authorized Seat Concepts dealer, and every seat is built with Seat Concepts' proprietary foam formula and individually inspected before shipment.
