Tenere 700 Rally Seat FAQ
What is the Seat Concepts Tenere 700 Rally Seat?
The Tenere 700 Rally Seat is a one-piece Complete Seat from Seat Concepts with an open cockpit, so you can move around the bike during technical riding. It is built for riders who spend hours sitting and standing through mixed terrain. The foam is rated medium density, 5% softer than the factory foam, and it gives firm support on long trips.
Which years does the Yamaha Tenere 700 Rally Seat fit?
This Yamaha Tenere 700 rally seat fits the 2019 to 2024 Tenere 700. The 2025 Tenere 700 has its own Rally Seat.
What is the Tenere 700 rally seat height with this seat?
Yamaha gives the factory Tenere 700 seat height as 34.4 inches (about 874 mm). For the Tenere 700 rally seat height, Low is 7/8 inch (22 mm) lower than the factory seat, Standard is the same as the factory seat, and Tall is 1-5/8 inches (41 mm) higher.
How wide is the Rally Seat?
Low and Standard are 8 inches (203 mm) wide. Tall is 7 inches (178 mm) wide. The length is the same as the factory seat at every height. The narrower shape is what gives you room to move.
What is the difference between the Tenere rally seat and the Rally 2.0?
This Tenere rally seat has a carbon fiber side and a sandpaper, diamante or semi-grip top. The Rally 2.0 Seat adds ribs for extra traction and uses wire gripper covers, a material made to limit movement on the seat in all conditions. If you also want a wider seat for long road days, look at the Comfort Seat instead.
Is this the T7 rally seat and the T700 rally seat?
Yes. T7 and T700 are the common short names for the Yamaha Tenere 700, so this is the T7 rally seat and the T700 rally seat for 2019 to 2024 bikes.
Which cover top should I choose for the Rally Seat?
The sides are black carbon fiber, a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with low grip. Black sandpaper is the high-grip top: its texture is like low-grit sandpaper, it holds you in position, and it works best with purpose-built riding gear. Black semi-grip is the low-slip top: its beaded cross weave keeps you in position but lets you move around the seat, and it works with casual clothing such as jeans as well as riding gear. Black diamante is a suede-like synthetic made to match the factory synthetic suede on production street and adventure bikes, and it is flexible with moderate grip.
Is the Rally Seat a Complete Seat, and how long does it take to arrive?
It is a Complete Seat only, with no kit version. Every Seat Concepts seat is made to order, so please allow 6 to 8 weeks for production and shipment. Because each seat is built to your options, returns and cancellations carry a 20% fee.
