The Seat Concepts Commuter DRZ400 seat is a complete seat with a wide, flat shape made for city trips and work runs. It helps you stay comfortable during long waits at traffic lights, and the foam gives a soft feel without bottoming out. It is 13.5 inches (343 mm) wide, and the foam is rated medium density, 5% softer than the factory foam.
Which DRZ400 models does the Commuter Seat fit?
It fits the same bikes as the Comfort Seat: the Suzuki DRZ400, DRZ400E, DRZ400S and DRZ400SM from 2000 to 2025, and the Kawasaki KLX400R and KLX400SR from 2003 to 2004. It is a complete seat, so it swaps in for the factory seat.
Does the Commuter Seat change the seat height?
It comes in Standard height only, so it matches the factory seat. For a lower or taller seat, the Comfort Seat has Low and Tall heights.

Which cover can I choose?
The sides are black carbon fiber, a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with low grip. You choose the top. Black sandpaper is the high-grip top: its texture is like low-grit sandpaper, it holds you in position, and it works best with purpose-built riding gear. Black semi-grip is the low-slip top: its beaded cross weave keeps you in position but lets you move around the seat, and it works with casual clothing such as jeans as well as riding gear. The top is also available in black carbon fiber.
