Product Description
The Suzuki DRZ400 and Kawasaki KLX400 are legendary dual-sport bikes, but the stock seat can feel quite narrow on long trips. This Seat Concepts Comfort seat fixes that by widening the seating area and leveling out the slope. It helps stop you from sliding forward into the gas tank while you ride. This makes your bike much more enjoyable for weekend adventures or your daily commute.
Each seat uses a special foam that stays supportive for hours without feeling stiff. You can choose from Standard, Low, or Tall heights to get the perfect fit for your leg length. The high-quality cover is built to last and matches the look of your machine perfectly.

DRZ400 Comfort Seat FAQ
What is the Seat Concepts DRZ 400 Comfort Seat?
The Seat Concepts DRZ400 Comfort Seat is a complete seat that widens the seating area and levels out the slope, so you stop sliding forward into the gas tank. It is the DRZ 400 comfort seat for weekend adventures and the daily commute, the foam stays supportive for hours without feeling stiff, and you can choose Standard, Low or Tall height to match your leg length. The foam is rated medium density, 5% softer than the factory foam.
Which DRZ400 models does the Comfort Seat fit?
This DRZ400 seat fits the Suzuki DRZ400, DRZ400E, DRZ400S and DRZ400SM from 2000 to 2025, and the Kawasaki KLX400R and KLX400SR from 2003 to 2004. A DRZ400S seat, a DRZ400SM seat and a DRZ400E seat are the same Comfort Seat, and a Suzuki DRZ400S seat or Suzuki DRZ400E seat from us is chosen the same way: height, width and cover top. Searching for Seat Concepts DRZ400SM? It is this seat. If you have a 2025 DR-Z4S, see the DR-Z4S Comfort Seat.
What is the DRZ400 seat height, and what does this seat change?
Suzuki gives the 2024 DR-Z400S seat height as 36.8 inches (935 mm) and the DR-Z400SM as 35.0 inches (890 mm). The DRZ 400 seat height with this seat depends on the height you choose. The Suzuki DRZ 400 seat height, the Suzuki DRZ400E seat height and the Suzuki DRZ400SM seat height all change the same way: Low is 1 inch (25 mm) lower than the factory seat, Standard matches the factory seat, and Tall is 1-1/8 inches (28.5 mm) higher.
Is there a DRZ400 low seat?
Yes. For a DRZ 400 low seat, choose Low. The DRZ400 low seat sits 1 inch (25 mm) lower than the factory seat and is 9-1/8 inches (232 mm) wide. The same seat works as a DRZ400E low seat and a DRZ400SM low seat. Low comes in the Comfort width with any of the three cover tops.
Is there a DRZ400 tall seat?
Yes. For a DRZ400 tall seat, choose Tall. It sits 1-1/8 inches (28.5 mm) higher than the factory seat and is 7-3/4 inches (197 mm) wide. Tall comes in the Comfort width with a sandpaper or semi-grip top.
Is there a wide DRZ400 touring seat?
Yes. The Standard Comfort width is 8 inches (203 mm) wide, and the Comfort XL width is 11 inches (279 mm) wide, in Standard height only. For a DRZ400 wide seat with the most surface area, the Commuter Seat is 13.5 inches (343 mm) wide. Either one works as a DRZ400 touring seat for long days.
Can I buy a DRZ400 seat cover or foam on its own?
No. This is a complete seat, so we do not sell a DRZ 400 seat cover, a DRZ400 seat cover, a DRZ400E seat cover or a DRZ400SM seat cover on its own. The foam and the cover are built together.
Is this a DRZ 400 seat upgrade, and is it a gel seat?
It is a DRZ 400 seat upgrade and a DRZ400 aftermarket seat that replaces the factory seat. It is not a DRZ 400 gel seat: Seat Concepts uses its own foam formula. If you are asking which is the best DRZ400 seat, it depends on your height and how you ride, which is why the Comfort Seat comes in three heights and two widths.
Which cover top can I choose?
The sides are black carbon fiber, a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with low grip. Black sandpaper is the high-grip top: its texture is like low-grit sandpaper, it holds you in position, and it works best with purpose-built riding gear. Black semi-grip is the low-slip top: its beaded cross weave keeps you in position but lets you move around the seat, and it works with casual clothing such as jeans as well as riding gear. Black carbon fiber is also available as a top in Low and Standard height.
How long does a DRZ400 seat take to arrive?
Every Seat Concepts seat is made to order, so please allow 6 to 8 weeks for production and shipment. Because each seat is built to your options, returns and cancellations carry a 20% fee. We are an authorized Seat Concepts dealer, and every seat is built with Seat Concepts' proprietary foam formula and individually inspected before shipment.
What does the DRZ400 Comfort Seat cost?
The price depends on the options you choose: $379.60 for most, and $409.60 for the Standard height in sandpaper or semi-grip.
