What is the Seat Concepts Yamaha XT225 Serow Comfort Seat Cover?
It is a Foam & Cover Kit for the seat you already have, not a complete seat. The narrow factory seat on the Yamaha XT225 Serow can get uncomfortable fast, and the kit changes the shape to give you a wider, level place to sit. It stops you from sliding forward so you can stay in the saddle on long trail rides or daily commutes. The foam is rated medium density, 5% softer than the factory foam.

It fits the Yamaha XT225 from 1993 to 2007, so it rebuilds an XT225 seat and a Yamaha XT225 seat, a Yamaha XT 225 seat, for those years.
What is the XT225 seat height, and what does the kit change?
The XT225 seat height is 810 mm (31.9 inches), which is the Yamaha XT225 seat height and the Yamaha XT 225 seat height before you change anything. The kit comes in Standard height only, the same as the factory seat, and it is 10.5 inches (267 mm) wide with the same length as the factory seat.
Can I buy an XT225 seat cover on its own?
No. The XT225 seat cover comes as a Foam & Cover Kit, so you get new foam and a new cover together for your existing seat base. There is no cover-only option.
Which covers can I choose?
The sides are black carbon fiber, and the top comes in black carbon fiber, black sandpaper or black semi-grip. Black carbon fiber is a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with low grip. Black sandpaper is the high-grip top: its texture is like low-grit sandpaper, it holds you in position, and it works best with purpose-built riding gear. Black semi-grip is the low-slip top: its beaded cross weave keeps you in position but lets you move around the seat, and it works with casual clothing such as jeans as well as riding gear.
How long does an XT225 seat kit take to arrive?
Every Seat Concepts seat is made to order, so please allow 6 to 8 weeks for production and shipment. Because each seat is built to your options, returns and cancellations carry a 20% fee.
