What is the Seat Concepts Yamaha WR400F and WR426F Comfort Seat Cover?
It is a Foam & Cover Kit for the seat you already have, not a complete seat. It widens the seating area and levels out the slope, so you stop sliding forward into the tank on enduro and dual-sport rides. The foam is rated medium density, 5% softer than the factory foam.
Which years does it fit?
It fits the Yamaha WR400 from 1998 to 2000 and the WR426 from 2001 to 2002, so it rebuilds a WR400 seat and a WR426 seat.
Does the kit change the seat height?
No. It comes in Standard height only, the same as the factory seat, and it is 7-7/8 inches (200 mm) wide with the same length as the factory seat.
Which covers can I choose?
The sides are cobalt blue wire gripper, and the top is black sandpaper. Wire gripper has a mechanical gripping texture that gives a high level of grip and limits movement on the seat in all conditions. Black sandpaper is the high-grip top: its texture is like low-grit sandpaper, it holds you in position, and it works best with purpose-built riding gear.
Is this a complete seat?
It is a Foam & Cover Kit, so you get new foam and a new cover together for your existing seat base. There is no cover-only option.
How long does a WR400F seat kit take to arrive?
Every Seat Concepts seat is made to order, so please allow 6 to 8 weeks for production and shipment. Because each seat is built to your options, returns and cancellations carry a 20% fee. We are an authorized Seat Concepts dealer, and every seat is built with Seat Concepts' proprietary foam formula and individually inspected before shipment.
