This Honda XR650L seat fits the XR650L from 1988 to 2025. It also fits the XR600R from 1998 to 2001. If your bike is in those ranges, the same seat fits it, and you only choose a height and a cover finish.
Does it fit the XR600R?
Yes, for 1998 to 2001. The XR600R in those years shares this seat with the XR650L, so an XR600R seat from Seat Concepts is the same Comfort Seat, in the same heights and cover finishes. If you want an XR600R seat cover, note that this seat comes with its cover already fitted.
Will it fit an XR650R?
The XR650R is a different bike from the XR650L, and it is not covered by this seat's fitment. If you are looking for an XR650R seat, an XR650R seat cover or an XR650R seat upgrade, please ask us with your model and year before you order.
What is the Honda XR650L seat height, and what does this seat do to it?
Honda gives the factory XR650L seat height as 37.0 inches (about 940 mm). The Comfort Seat comes in Standard or Low height, so you can choose how close your feet get to the ground. Standard is the choice if you are happy with the reach, and Low is the choice if you want your feet closer at a stop.
Is there an XR650L low seat?
Yes. The Comfort Seat comes in a Low height as well as Standard. If you were looking for an XR650L low seat or a Honda XR650L lower seat for shorter legs, choose Low when you order. You can pair it with black carbon fiber sides and either top finish.
Which height should I choose, Standard or Low?
Choose Low if you want your feet closer to the ground at a stop, for example if you are a shorter rider. Choose Standard if you are comfortable with the reach. Either way, the seat gets the same wider, level shape.
Is this a good XR650L seat upgrade for long rides?

No. This is a complete seat, and we do not sell an XR650L seat cover or XR650L seat foam on its own. The cover and the foam come fitted. If you were looking for a Honda XR650L seat cover to freshen your own seat, this is not that product.
What cover colors can I choose, and is there a red seat?
The sides come in black carbon fiber or red carbon fiber, and the top comes in black sandpaper or black semi-grip. Every combination is available at both heights, except Low height with red carbon fiber sides and the semi-grip top. The price is the same for each finish.
