What is the Seat Concepts Honda Grom Gen 2 Comfort Seat Cover?
The Comfort Seat Cover is a Foam & Cover Kit for the Honda Grom Gen 2, also called the MSX125 Gen 2. It is not a complete seat. It reshapes the foam to stop that feeling of sliding forward into the gas tank, and it gives you a wider, level platform for city commuting or backroad exploring. The foam stays supportive without feeling like a brick, and the cover is built for daily use.
Which years does it fit: a 2017, 2018, 2019 or 2020 Honda Grom seat?
It fits the Honda Grom Gen 2, so it rebuilds a 2017 Honda Grom seat, a 2018 Honda Grom seat, a 2019 Honda Grom seat and a 2020 Honda Grom seat. The Gen 3 Grom from 2022 has its own kit, the Gripper Seat Cover.
How tall is the Grom Gen 2 seat with this kit?
Honda gives the Grom seat height as 30 inches. This kit comes in Tall only: it is 1.5 inches (38 mm) taller than the factory seat and 10 inches (254 mm) wide, with the same length as the factory seat. It suits riders who want to stretch their legs out a bit more on this compact bike.
Is there a Honda Grom low seat or a Honda Grom tall seat?
The Tall option turns your seat into a Honda Grom tall seat. We do not offer a Honda Grom low seat in this kit, because it comes in Tall height only.
Is this a Honda Grom seat upgrade, and is it a gel seat?
It is a Honda Grom seat upgrade that replaces the factory foam and cover, so it works as a Honda Grom seat replacement too. It is not a Honda Grom gel seat: Seat Concepts uses its own foam, rated medium density and 5% softer than the factory foam. As a Honda Grom aftermarket seat you choose the cover top, which is how it becomes a Honda Grom custom seat.
Can I buy a Honda Grom seat cover on its own?
No. The kit gives you new foam and a new cover together, so there is no separate Honda Grom seat cover to buy. You choose a black carbon fiber side and a black sandpaper or black carbon fiber top.
Which cover top should I choose?
The sides are black carbon fiber, a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with low grip. Black sandpaper is the high-grip top: its texture is like low-grit sandpaper, it holds you in position, and it works best with purpose-built riding gear. The top is also available in black carbon fiber, a semi-smooth vinyl-based material with low grip.
How long does a Honda Grom seat take to arrive?
Every Seat Concepts kit is made to order, so please allow 6 to 8 weeks for production and shipment. Because each kit is built to your options, returns and cancellations carry a 20% fee. We are an authorized Seat Concepts dealer, and every kit is built with Seat Concepts' proprietary foam formula and individually inspected before shipment.
