Product Description

Is the Scott's stabilizer for the GSXR 1000 the same as on other bikes?
Almost always. The stabilizer is part 4200-00, and the mount is the part that changes from bike to bike. See the Scott's 4200-00 stabilizer.

What is a tank slapper, and do I need a steering stabilizer on my Suzuki GSXR 1000?
A tank slapper is a fast side to side shake of the handlebars. Our guides explain what causes it and how to decide whether you need a stabilizer: tank slappers, speed wobble and head shake and do you need a steering stabilizer.

Scott's says to treat it like suspension, with an occasional oil change depending on how hard you ride. See the service guide.
