Product Description
RSV Mille steering stabilizer choices for Aprilia RSV Mille riders (2000-2002): a complete kit and a mount kit only. Every option below comes from Scott's own fitment list for this bike. The damper mounts at the RSV Mille's steering head and resists fast movement of the bars, which Scott's describes as extra security under hard braking and after the front wheel lifts under acceleration. For these years the complete kit is part RS-37-2238-35F (about 3.5 lb) and the mount kit only is part RM-37-2238 (about 2 lb).

Does a Scott's RSV Mille steering damper kit come with the mounts?

What does a RSV Mille steering stabilizer do?
The damper mounts at the RSV Mille's steering head and resists fast movement of the bars, which Scott's describes as extra security under hard braking and after the front wheel lifts under acceleration.
Is the Scott's stabilizer for the RSV Mille the same as on other bikes?
Almost always. The stabilizer is part 4200-00, and the mount is the part that changes from bike to bike. See the Scott's 4200-00 stabilizer.
Can I move my Scott's stabilizer to a Aprilia RSV Mille?
Scott's says yes, with a mount kit for the new bike. For the Aprilia RSV Mille, the mount kit only part: RM-37-2238.
What is a tank slapper, and do I need a steering stabilizer on my Aprilia RSV Mille?
A tank slapper is a fast side to side shake of the handlebars. Our guides explain what causes it and how to decide whether you need a stabilizer: tank slappers, speed wobble and head shake and do you need a steering stabilizer.
Will a Scott's steering stabilizer fit my Aprilia RSV Mille?
Fit depends on the model year. This page covers all years of the Aprilia RSV Mille. Choose your year in the fitment bar and match the part number on the kit to your bike. Part numbers are explained in the kit guide.
How do I set the damping on a RSV Mille steering stabilizer?
Scott's says its road units have rebound damping back to center. Scott's also says the damping is adjustable, including while riding. The install guide covers settings.
How do I service a Scott's RSV Mille steering stabilizer?
Scott's says to treat it like suspension, with an occasional oil change depending on how hard you ride. See the service guide.
