Steering Damper Eliminator. Some bikes have a steering damper wired into the ECU, and unplugging it or removing it entirely trips a fault code. This module sends the ECU the signal it expects from a connected damper, so you can run without one and keep the dash clean.

Does my bike need a steering damper for this to matter?
Only if your bike came with one wired into the ECU. Removing that damper without this module usually trips a fault code.
