Dirt bike steering stabilizers

Scott's lists steering stabilizer kits for 368 dirt bike models, from mini bikes to full-size motocross, enduro and trail machines. Choose your bike in the bar, then compare the complete kit with the mount kit alone.

Why riders fit one

Off-road, the bars get thrown by whoops, rocks, roots and ruts, and by landings that come down slightly off line. A stabilizer slows that sudden side to side movement so you keep your grip and your line.

Scott's says its off-road units damp as the bars turn away from center and let them return freely.

  • Check crossbar clearance before you order. Oversize bars, 7/8 inch bars and ProTaper style bars use different bar mounts.
  • Several models are sold with more than one mount style, such as top mount, sub mount or weld-on. The listing names which one each option is.

Questions

Which kit do I need?

A complete kit has the stabilizer and the mount for your bike. A mount kit alone is for someone who already owns a Scott's stabilizer. The kit guide has a chooser table.

Will it fit my bike?

Fit depends on the make, model and model year. Open your model's page and match the part number on the kit to your year.

What does the damping do?

Scott's says its off-road units damp as the bars turn away from center and let them return freely. The do-you-need-one guide goes further.
