The third of the three 1976-1977½ CJ control cables MTS still makes — this is the longest at roughly 38", running temperature control with the same twist-lock end as its air box and heater duct counterparts. Replaces Jeep part 5459175, with the installation and push nuts included.
Cables and valves like this one wear quietly — a little more slack or a little more resistance every year — until one day the range of motion just isn't there anymore. Replacing it with a part matched to the original length and fitting, as this one is, is what actually restores full function rather than working around a partial one.
