The extended-range diesel option for square-body-era C/K trucks, at 34 gallons instead of the standard 25 (SKU 2025D) — same in-frame mounting, same built-in fuel bowl, just a longer tank. Gas-engine trucks need SKU 2034G instead. Not for 1-ton models.
Ethanol-blended modern fuel is harder on decades-old steel tanks than the gasoline they were designed around, accelerating the corrosion that eventually perforates the metal. Molded in cross-linked polyethylene, this replacement doesn't have that failure mode at all — it just needs to be the correct fitment, which is where the details below matter.

This is purely cosmetic, has no effect on performance or durability, and doesn't occur on every unit — every tank is individually pressure-tested before it ships to confirm a leak-free seal.
