Square-body and later C/K pickups ran different in-frame tanks depending on engine — this is the diesel version, with a built-in fuel bowl for the 78" or 96" bed. The gas-engine equivalent is SKU 2025G at the same price and dimensions; grabbing the wrong fuel type won't fit the fuel system correctly, so confirm your engine before ordering. Not for 1-ton models.
Old steel tanks don't just rust through the bottom — years of temperature swings work seams and welds loose too. This tank's one-piece polyethylene construction has no welded seams to fail, which is why an exact fitment match, not another round of patch repairs, is the real fix.
