Product Description
The Gladiator and early J-Series trucks used a side-mounted tank with an oversized 2.25" filler neck — a detail worth confirming against your old tank, since the later J-Series switched to a smaller 1" filler (see SKU 0012). This one bolts to the stock lock-ring mount and comes with a new lock ring and gasket.
Steel OEM tanks corrode from the inside out as ethanol-blended fuel picks up moisture over the years, and once rust perforates the metal there's no patching it — a full replacement is the only real fix. This tank is molded in high-density cross-linked polyethylene specifically because it doesn't rust, pit, or corrode the way steel does, so once it's installed correctly it's not something you'll be revisiting.
