E-Series Super Duty vans of this era ran as many as three different tank sizes, and this 35/37-gallon version is the smallest — it will not replace the 55-gallon (SKU 4855A) or the 40-gallon tank, for which MTS currently offers no replacement at all. Confirm your tank size before ordering. It ships as a bare tank with the sending unit gasket and retaining rings; the sending unit and emission valves carry over from your original.
Old steel tanks don't just rust through the bottom — years of temperature swings work seams and welds loose too. This tank's one-piece polyethylene construction has no welded seams to fail, which is why an exact fitment match, not another round of patch repairs, is the real fix.

✓ Appearance Note: Because each tank is custom molded, you may occasionally notice minor cosmetic surface bubbles left over from the molding process. This is purely cosmetic, has no effect on performance or durability, and doesn't occur on every unit — every tank is individually pressure-tested before it ships to confirm a leak-free seal.
