Unlike the OEM-plastic-tank sending units above, this one uses a standard lock ring rather than a lock nut — it includes the gasket but still leaves out the in-tank filter. Replaces Ford part E6UZ-9275-C.

A sending unit that's dragging or corroded inside the tank can also starve the engine of fuel under hard acceleration, not just throw off the gauge reading — it's a fuel-delivery part as much as an instrumentation one. Matching the ohm range and pump configuration exactly is what restores both functions at once.
