Passenger's-side match to SKU 0040LS, for CJ3B models from serial #39838 onward. Same 6-screw sending unit and straight filler neck, mounted on the opposite side.
Ethanol-blended modern fuel is harder on decades-old steel tanks than the gasoline they were designed around, accelerating the corrosion that eventually perforates the metal. Molded in cross-linked polyethylene, this replacement doesn't have that failure mode at all — it just needs to be the correct fitment, which is where the details below matter.
