1976 used a long fill and vent neck, one more distinct configuration in the CJ's constantly-changing fuel system across these years. This hose matches that spec for the metal tank only — plastic tank owners need CJFH-2. Replaces Jeep part 5357060.
A brittle, cracked fuel hose doesn't always announce itself with a puddle underneath the truck — sometimes it's just a fuel smell after fill-ups, or a check-engine light from a small vapor leak. Matching the original diameter and routing exactly, as this hose does, actually solves that instead of masking it with another hose clamp.
