For the 15-gallon metal tank on 1972-1975 CJs — this one does NOT work with the plastic tanks used in later years, so if you've upgraded to a plastic tank, you want CJFH-2 instead. Replaces Jeep part J992965.
A vent hose that's collapsed or cracked internally can trap pressure in the tank even when the outside looks fine, which shows up as hard starting or a filler neck that spits fuel back at you. Replacing it with a hose sized to the original spec, like this one, is the only way to rule that out for good.
