This grommet seals the rear-tank fuel filler plate on the Willys Pickup, a small part that's easy to overlook until it's the actual source of a fuel smell or seep around the filler.

A hardened or cracked gasket is a small part with an outsized effect — it's usually the actual source of a fuel smell or seep that ends up getting blamed on the tank itself. Replacing it any time the connection it seals is opened up is cheap insurance against doing the job twice.
