Product Description
Full-size Broncos went through several tank revisions in just a few years, and this one is specific to 1979: 33-gallon capacity, vent pipe toward the front, with an emission/rollover valve hole on top. Getting the vent pipe direction and EMS hole right matters here — MTS builds four different variants of this same basic tank across 1978-1986 (SKUs 4251A-D, plus 4251E/L/S for later years).
A pinhole rust leak in an old steel tank rarely stays a pinhole for long, and by the time it's obvious, the surrounding metal is usually too thin to weld safely. This polyethylene replacement sidesteps rust entirely, so the installation notes below are what actually determines whether this swap goes smoothly.
