This sending unit is built for the 15-gallon CJ tank on the Jeep platform. It's matched to an ohm range of Full 8.5-10.5, Empty 70-80, so the fuel gauge reads accurately instead of just moving the same problem to a new part. Includes a new lock ring, gasket and an in-tank fuel filter.

A worn or corroded sending unit is one of the most common reasons a fuel gauge reads wrong — stuck on full, stuck on empty, or drifting somewhere in between as the resistor track wears.
