Pre-emissions Scout IIs, Terras, and Travelers used a simpler rear tank without emission fittings — this is that version. Cross-references to four IH part numbers (489746C1, 417519C1, 461805C1, 489745C1) and ships with a new lock ring and gasket. If your truck has emission control fittings on the tank, you want SKU 3019L instead.
By the time a steel tank rusts through, the fuel it's been holding has usually already picked up rust flakes that foul filters and injectors downstream. Swapping to this polyethylene tank removes that source of contamination for good, provided the capacity and mounting details match your application exactly.
