Fit beautiful on my 2013 Suzuki DRZ 400 S.A bit confused on the Wire form safety wire.Where should it be routed? I ran it strait across to prevent the lower part of the tank from ever spreading apart and coming off the tank ears.Thumper Talk helped me pick the Clarke tank.Swap the original petcock piece of cake.Perfect fit!

no where on the website does it state that the item you order has to be manufactured. I ordered on the 18th and still have not even received a shipment confirmation.
Then I get an email stating the purchase was process and completed. I called the company and confirmed that completed doesn't mean that it was shipped. Just means the the tank is being manufactured???
Ironically, I received this rating request for a product I have yet to receive. Hope the product is better than the company that sells it.

I ordered the 3.9 Clarke in natural/translucent. This tank is a beast! Way bigger than stock but looks right at home on a DRZ. Doesn't sit up too high or stick out too far. The only issue is interference with the choke handle, but after re-jetting I don't ever need the choke anyway so I don't care. If you haven't re-jetted, this may be an issue for you, BUT you can probably just trim the choke handle a little bit. I'm using a Yamaha Raptor petcock and that also fits perfectly, and makes a great straight-across angle to the carb for the fuel line.
Super fast shipping to Alaska too!! Now to convince my wife that she needs one for her bike...

Its a thin plastic tank - does not fit as expected. Had to modify the mount tab under the seat. Petcock is much lower had to replace the fuel and vacuum lines - and it was expensive. But it does hold gas.

The extra fuel is great. Things that are not that great: the radiator cap cannot be removed without removing the flange and possibly the tank, the choke is barely accessible and the gas cap separated shortly after the tank was installed.
Even with the minor inconveniences above, being able to ride more and spend less time finding a gas station is a huge plus.
The bike handles the same.
Installation is easy.

Have not received my tank yet and cannot reach anyone at JGT. Ordered tank over a month ago and I live a short 10 hour drive away

I purchased this tank a few months ago and installed it. I got the Clark 3.9 gallon for a 2006 DRZ400S. Install was easy, though the cap sucks. I'd highly recommend the billet cap to replace the plastic Clarke cap. It's better in every way.
I recently decided to run it to empty, just to see what the true capacity was. It's been on my bike for a few months and I've had several tanks through it, so it's had time to settle in.
I got 194 miles at reserve. I filled up at a certified, calibrated name-brand gas pump and it took 4.3 gallons. Assuming a 10 mile reserve, this means actual capacity was about 4.5 gallons. I like knowing that I can get 200 miles out of the tank if needed. By the way, this was 130 miles of dirt only (single and double track) with an additional 64 miles of back road commuting.
If you need additional capacity, this beats carrying around a rotopax (I've done it) or other external fuel source.
Bonus: the Clarke tank on the DRZ400S works with the stock radiator shrouds and a Unibiker radiator guard. This means you can have extended fuel capacity, excellent radiator capacity, and the excellent Giant Loop pannier pockets fit nicely over everything.

When it shows up I will likely give it a good rating. Can't see any to track this order on your Web site or from your previous emails.

I've read reviews indicating that the Clarke 3.9 gal tank needed some work to fit. Mine dropped in almost flawlessly. The petcock hole didn't need to be reemed, all bolt holes lined up without fuss and there's room for the choke knob to pull out fully... barely but it's still fully functional. The only thing I had to do was shorten the aluminum tab that the seat hooks onto by about 3/8". Other than that the tank took all of maybe 30 minutes to install on my 2001 DRZ400S which included flushing it out, per instructions, and transferring all of the fuel from the stock tank.
