This sending unit is built for the 19-gallon Full-Size Pickup tank on the Ford platform, with pump. Includes new filter and O-ring. Pairs with Tank # 4253 if you're replacing more than just the sending unit.
A worn or corroded sending unit is one of the most common reasons a fuel gauge reads wrong — stuck on full, stuck on empty, or drifting somewhere in between as the resistor track wears. Matching the exact ohm range and pump configuration here is what keeps the new gauge reading accurate instead of just relocating the same problem.
